AI Is Probabilistic. Responsibility Isn’t.
AI doesn’t stand apart from us. It mirrors us. Our assumptions. Our incentives. Our blind spots. Our values. When we talk about AI output, we often focus on accuracy, speed, or risk. But behind every output sits a layered system of responsibility — users, leaders, developers, investors, regulation, education. Technology doesn’t create intention. It amplifies it. So the more interesting question might not be “What is AI doing?” It might be: “What are we reinforcing through it?” If AI reflects us, then improving AI also means improving the systems, incentives, and decisions around it. Responsibility is layered. And so is influence.
